Since launching on 15th December, Super Mario Run downloads have topped 40 million worldwide in its first week of availability – the fastest in App Store history. The game has broken records around the world since its release, including topping the App Store charts in over 140 countries and regions, and rising to the top 10 highest-grossing charts in over 100 countries. Super Mario Run is Mario’s first iOS game ever and is available to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users.
In Super Mario Run, players embark on an adventure with Mario and friends through three robust modes which will offer hours of fun and keep players coming back again and again. From earning all the Pink, Purple and challenging Black coins in World Tour mode, to climbing the leaderboards and besting friends by gathering the most Toads in Toad Rally, the game is always offering players new challenges. And with recent additions like holiday-themed items in Kingdom Builder mode, Super Mario Run offers plenty of new surprises to discover.
Super Mario Run can be downloaded from the App Store at no cost, and players can try elements of the game’s three modes for free, including the game’s first four courses in World Tour mode, access to Toad Rally mode and a limited number of structures that can be used in Kingdom Builder mode. Once the game has been downloaded, a one-time payment of £7.99 / €9.99 will allow users to play and fully access all of the three main modes, including an additional 20 World Tour courses, a greater variety of courses to compete with in Toad Rally, and over 100 structures to choose from in Kingdom Builder.
